Am I ready to buy? A 2-minute gut check

You don't need perfect credit, a huge savings account, or a finance degree to buy your first home. You need three things pointing in roughly the right direction: steady income, a manageable amount of debt, and a little cash (often less than you think, once assistance programs are stacked on top). Here's the honest gut check:

Income — Is your paycheck steady enough that you could commit to the same payment every month for a while?

Debt — Add up your minimum monthly payments (car, student loans, credit cards). If that number is under roughly 40% of your monthly income, you have room.

Cash — You'll need some money at closing, but Georgia programs can cover most or all of the down payment for buyers who qualify.

If you're not sure on any of these, that's fine — that's exactly what the rest of these lessons are for. Readiness is something you build, not something you're born with.

Next: Run your numbers in the KevaAI eligibility check — it tells you where you stand in about a minute.
